Amber Benson is an American actress, director, and producer. She is most well-known for being the character Tara Maclay from the TV show Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Benson is also the director of her films Chance, Lovers Liars & Lunatics and was the leading actress in those films. She was also part of the film Kiss the Bride. Benson was the child, born on January 8, 1977 to Edward Benson and Diane Benson. Danielle Benson is her sibling and an accomplished artist. Benson, whose father is Jewish and her mother a Southern Baptist was raised in an Alabama Reform synagogue. Benson began appearing in other movies, such as The Killing Jar.
