Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington is a Greek American author syndicated columnist and businesswoman. She has written fifteen books and is the cofounder the magazine The Huffington Post. Arianna Huffington is a writer and television host, as well as philanthropist as well as the founder and publisher of The Huffington Post. Following her move into England from Greece at 16 and obtaining an MA in Economics at Cambridge University. The well-known debating club The Cambridge Union was her first president and she took it at the age of 21. As a conservative syndicated blogger, after graduating she was able to be the voice of Huffington Post. Her celebrity status helped her to get a number of prominent contributors to post their views on politics news and culture. Arianna's fame began in 2003, when she became an independent candidate for the California recall vote in order to replace the then governor Davis. She also headed an Detroit energy-efficient vehicle project. She was named one of the Most Influential Women in Media in 2009 by Forbes in 2009 and was awarded the 12th spot on the list. The same year, the Guardian named her on the top 100 media list. AOL Inc. bought The Huffington Post, and she was named president of the media company. It included a variety of AOL properties at that time, including Engadget AOL style list and Patch Media. The parents of her were Elli as well as Konstantinos Stasinopoulos, a management consultant and journalist. She was extremely close to her father. However, it was her bond with her mother who has shaped her. When she was a teen she demonstrated leadership skills that she's still known for. at the age of 16 she emigrated to the United Kingdom to pursue her education and was enrolled at Girton College Cambridge. As a student, she joined the Cambridge Union, a college debate group. As the third woman president and first foreigner, she served as the head of Cambridge Union. She graduated in 1972 with the degree of Master in Economics. After her graduation she worked as a columnist critic and an anchor on TV. In addition, along with Bernard Levin she appeared on an edition of Face the music.
