Sheryl-Underwood

Sheryl Underwood was born in the state of Arkansas, and was raised there. She became a TV host of the talk show on daytime The Talk. Born in Arkansas she grew up in Little Rock and Atwater. Sheryl lives in a family that is turbulent. Sheryl was fostered by her sister Frankie. Frankie had suffered with Polio. Growing up, she had a difficult relationship with her mother. Sheryl says that her mother once stabbed at her father over getting too close. Sheryl became a military officer after graduating from university. Her passion for the military was comedy. In 1989, she was the first female to make it to the top of the Miller Lite Comedy Search contest. Her first TV work in 1992 by having a frequent appearance as a comedian on HBO's comedy show Def Comedy Jam. She also appeared in 2000 as host of the television program Oh Drama! Then in 2011, she started being on The Talk as co-host. In addition she has also appeared in a variety of fictional characters on series including Bulworth Nikki and Beauty Shop.
